really is an excellent example of what can only be described as a real hot hatch, with an addictable supercharger `whiiine` and an equally throaty exhaust note! Ill start with some of the basics 2004 04 facelift model (including different front and rear lights etc) 86000 miles, but well maintained throughout MOT until June 2012 and only 3000 miles completed since the 2011 test Road taxed until end of March 2012, so ready to drive away Metallic black paintwork Drivers, passengers and side airbags Isofix Tyre pressure loss warning system Standard features include electric windows, heated and electric mirrors and half leather seats This perticular model also includes the following from the factory Xenon headlight with washers Boot mounted 6 CD changer, with dash mounted cassette Multifuctioning steering wheel Cruise control Uprated factory stereo with tweeters dotted about the interior When my girlfriend bought it nearly 2 years ago, she wanted to make it abit different from the crowd, so she had some orange stripes professionally applied, along with the mirror caps and also all the `S` badges are in the same orange, which really does look good, without going too over the top! These are more `orangey` in real life, the photos make them look abit faint! She also had the back 3 windows professionally tinted slightly darker, which if anything is a safety thing as people can`t easily see in to steal things! All of these can obviously be removed if they aren`t to your taste! The car had a full service history when we bought it, and i have kept up to that, and gone even further as i believe if you look after a car, it looks after you! I serviced it at 82000, including oil, air, pollen filter and spark plugs and also changed the gearbox oil and carried out a complete brake fluid change! The car really does drive spot on, it glides through the gears and pulls really well. The display shows next service in 11000 miles but i would recommend it at 87000 (5000 since the last one) as it was also done at 77000 so that keeps it at 5000 mile intervals Bodywork wise, its in generally good condition, minus a few stone chips. I`m abit of a cleaning geek so it regualry gets bathed using only Autoglym products, and its currently protected using Super Resin Polish. I always pre wash it using my `snow foam lance`, as ive shown it the photos. This hopefully removes grit before washing, and its really paid off on this black car! All the tyres are good, with the fronts on 5mm and the rears on 7mm, these aren`t runflats but the tyre pressure loss warning systems still works fine. If you drive one with runflats, then drive one without you`ll realise why we didn`t go back down the runflat route - the ride is TERRIBLE with runflats due to the hard sidewalls!!! So thats it i think! Sorry for the essay, but i wanted to tell people all about this excellent little car, which also has half a tank of fuel in!!! only really got used at the weekend or longer journeys. Ive always cleaned it if its got mucky and it lives in a dry garage overnight. I`ve found out I`m back out to Afghanistan for the UK summer and with little use being made of the car at the moment I can not justify leaving it in the garage over the summer only for it to come out once in a while next winter, so it is up for sale. It is in excellent condition for the year & mileage and you would never guess that it has driven the miles that it has. It honestly puts others to shame. It is the full JCW works kit including blue injectors, airbox, exhaust etc, not the lesser 200bhp conversion. It has a full BMW mini service history, having had its full inspection 1 service, fluid changes & brake fluid change only 2500 miles ago. On startup it says it has a further 12800 miles until an oil change. It is MOTd until the 9th Sept & taxed until the end of feb. Only 10k miles ago (18 months ago) it cost £7000, so £4000 is an absolute bargain! So I will not be taking offers on her.Since owning it I have changed the chrome front grill to a black one, installed a bluetooth/USB/Aux/SD-card MP3/CD player, replaced the horrible blue mats with mini black ones & fitted some aero wipers (Original stereo, grill, mats included if the buyer so wishes). It has digital climate control & heated half leather seats factory extras.It drives exactly as it should using no oil or water etc and she looks as sexy as the slinky girls in the ikea kitchen advert. left wing near the light. He bought it off an old lady who was going to scrap it. A sin if you ask me as it was perfectly fine. He re-registered it back on the road. Thats when I bought it. It is currently sorn and has no mot. I drove it for a few months before I decided to restore it. What I have done so far: I have stripped back the paint. Replaced the right hand side A panel. Primered first coat. Since then I have rubbed down some panels again. Taken out the old carpet inside. Taken out the seats and door cards. Taken out the dash and speedo. All electrics are still inside. Running gear and engine are all still in too. If the mini was legal right now you could drive it away. The engine is VERY good. No problems. I sourced a second-hand door and bonnet. All doors,bonnet and boot lid have been primered. Doors have been stripped but have glass in them. I still have most all of the parts. This is a project mini. Lovely car to drive and we will miss her, but with only 1 of us being able to drive and having a Mini, a Megane and a van, sadly we can`t afford to keep her. The only modifications made (by the previous owner) is the twin exhausts (looks and sounds great!) and it now has a Blaupunkt Dresden MP34 stereo. The service book was lost (by the previous owner) but a new one is pressent and with all the stamps, Mini tlc booklet and paper work available. I will mention though, the next service is due in a few thousand miles.
